Trainee:

Excellent IT skills

English written and verbal communication.

Support the marine coordinators in the day-to-day management of offshore vessel operations.

Knowledge and understanding of project documentation, such as: emergency response plan, risk assessments and safe systems of work (to be covered in training on the project)

Assist in the communications between vessels and contractors to ensure work scopes are carried out efficiently.

Check and validate the certification of personnel and vessels to ensure they are permitted to work on the windfarm.

Attend the daily planning meetings with contract site managers to keep up to date with upcoming works.

Collate and keep up to date with weather reports, checking the forecast regularly to stay informed on potential bad weather windows.

Ensure a level of continuity is maintained within the marine coordination team.

Sufficient knowledge of marine operations within the offshore industry (to be cover in training on the project)

Knowledge of marine operations within the offshore industry (to be covered in training on the project)

Admin duties as required.

Assist with emergency response as required.

Preferred marine knowledge/background but not essential

Marine experience (CTVs / Maritime Studies)

MC Nightshift

Support the lead marine coordinator in the day-to-day management of offshore vessel operations 

Coordinate all vessel and personnel movement within the offshore windfarm construction site with the aid of a marine management software 

Knowledge and understanding of project documentation, such as: emergency response plan, risk assessments and safe systems of work 

Communicate confidently at all levels to ensure work scopes are carried out efficiently  

Check and validate the certification of personnel and vessels to ensure they are permitted to work on the windfarm  

Attend the daily planning meetings with contract site managers to keep up to date with upcoming works 

Collate and keep up to date with weather reports, checking the forecast regularly to stay informed on potential bad weather windows 

Knowledge of marine operations within the offshore industry  

Daily manifesting of personnel and cargo as per project requirements 

Provide support and training to the trainee and junior MC whilst on shift
